BAGHA MOSQUEThe Bagha Mosque is situated close to Rajshahi in Bangladesh.
The mosque was built by Sultan Nusrat Shah (1519-32), who was son of Sultan Alauddin Husain Shah considered as the greatest of all the sultans of Bengal for bringing a cultural renaissance during his reign.
There is abundance of stone carving in low relief in the exterior, and ornamental niches 
within rectangular panels, rosette and kalasa (pot) motifs that are used repeatedly. There are similar motifs in the mihrabs inside, but the central mihrab is bare and the stone structure is now believed to be in the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh. Rectangular panels with cusped arches and hanging motifs are predominant in the decorative scheme.
